About Adrianna Mei Wade

Adrianna Wade (b. 2004, UK) is a mixed media artist who specialises in painting and textiles, currently studying Fine Art at Loughborough University. Her final BA (Hons) Degree Show exhibition takes place in June 2026. She is a mixed media artist who specialises in painting and textiles, with a visual signature of bold and rich colours in the works of all sizes.

Her current practice revolves around flowers. Originally intrigued by their presence in the history of communication. "As a dyslexic person, I often struggled to find the right words. Within my botanical research, I discovered that flowers can hold many meanings and can act as catalysts in terms of language, and that inspired me. The recent series uses canvases as colour palettes, with the composition acting like my brush.”

Alongside her love of flowers, her research revolves around colour theory and its history. She is drawn to colour as a language in its own right, one shaped by politics, religion, and culture, and looks to the way history is reflected and communicated through the use of colour.

Internship: No job in the arts

Creative Internship, I supported curating and producing the ZINES 10TH edition as well launching the event on NJITA social media.
1st in my dissertation

I received a first in my dissertation researching the impact of the colour purple on the Industrial revolution with focus on the Impressionists and first hand analysis of Monet’s waterlilies.

Fine art part C student representative, responsibilities include collecting feedback from students and attending meetings with the university to communicate and improve the student experience.
exhibition committee

Founder and secretary of the students final year exhibition committee. this is a student lead and run committee for hosting and coordinating the degrees how exhibition.
fundraising committee

She is also part of the fundraising committee for the final year exhibition helping host events leading up to the exhibition including; drink and draw, car boot sale, art auction and the art prom.
graduate teaching assistant

Took a third year placement at Dean Close Senior school as a teaching assistant in the art block, boarding house and extra curricular activities. First aid certified.
Yarn and craft society

In second year she helped found and run the yearn and craft society as the secretary at Loughborough university.
